Camilla Di Marcantonio is an environmental engineer, and she awarded her European Ph.D. in 2020 about the fate and removal of emerging contaminants in water and wastewater treatment plants at Sapienza University of Rome. She is currently Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Department of Civil, Constructional and Environmental Engineering (DICEA) at Sapienza University of Rome. Her main research field concern treatment technologies for contaminants pf emerging concern removal and their interaction with the receiving environment. Her research activity is characterized by a multidisciplinary approach and by the collaboration with water utilities, internationally recognized research institutes and different academic institutions (Acea SpA, The University of Auckland, KWR Water Research Institute, ARERA). She is member of the NORMAN Network and the IWA Young Water Professional Italy.
