Katarina Larsen

Katarina Larsen is working as a researcher and teacher at KTH The Royal Institute of Technology in Sweden, Div. History of Science, Technology and Environment. Ongoing research interests includes analysis of co-creation processes and user involvement targeting innovation and sustainable transitions in the urban context through analysis of Smart Urban Futures (ENSUF) in JPI Urban Europe. The research contributes to development of approaches for place-based learning, in research and teaching, where the users' perspectives of climate change challenges can be incorporated. One example is the work with co-creating a section on critical urban infrastructures for water in collaboration between researchers and artists in the exhibition Symbiosis at Färgfabriken in 2021. Other current areas of work includes analysis of mobility as a service (MaaS) using participatory methods for analysis of potential for change of travel patterns, consequences of digitalization on local lifestyles and mobility in cities and their surroundings.
