Lina Suleiman

Research Fellow at KTH
Lina Suleiman has over twenty five years of academic and professional experience related to scientific research in both the industrial and the academic sector. She worked for both public and private authorities in a local context as well as for international organisations.

She has been working on and interested in:

• Institutional dimensions and dynamics for decision-making analysis and understanding
preconditions and causal links between various types of actors for water governance

• Public institutions reforms and capacity building in linkage to social capital and path dependency
theory

• Methods and theories regarding planning processes for coordinating diverse actors and
interests—incorporating decision and game theory, institutional analysis, theories of
communicative planning, deliberative governance etc

• The role of civil society and particularly the work of NGOs in micro-politics in the field of
development and democracy.
